Holly Schwein
President and Treasurer
Holly entered Phi Beta while attending the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music as a Dance Major. She has had a life-long affiliation with Phi Beta, serving several positions in her local chapter of Pi Alpha Mu, Cincinnati, OH, and on Phi Beta’s National Council. She served as National President in 1996-98. Re-elected as President in July 2018, Holly looks forward to further improving the reach and focus of Phi Beta during her two-year tenure.

Elin Torvik
Vice President of Alumni
Elin Tuason Torvik has been a member of Phi Beta since her college days, where she was a founding member of the Beta Epsilon collegiate chapter at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. Since then, Torvik has served in National Director positions and positions on the National Council, including National Editor, Vice President of Alumni, and National President. Torvik has degrees in Art History, Humanities, and Interior Design; she also plays the piano and paints. Torvik lives in Madison, WI, with her family and works in telecommunications. She continues participating in the local Phi Beta Alumni chapter, Pi Eta.

Rebecca Shaw
National Editor
Rebecca joined the Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Fraternity in 2012. While at Capital University, she majored in Biology and minored in Creative Writing. After graduation, Rebecca joined the Pi Nu Alumni chapter in Columbus, Ohio. She accepted the post of Director of Rituals in late 2020.
Rebecca is a Certified Pharmacy Technician. She enjoys gardening, gaming, performing drag and burlesque, and representing the Haus of Sterling. She is excited to continue her involvement with Phi Beta and continue being active in pursuing the goal of writing a novel or series.
Rebecca lives in Reynoldsburg, OH, with her partner and three cats.

Jessica Schollenberger
Vice President of Collegiate and Director of Extension
Jessica Schollenberger discovered Phi Beta while attending Capital University. She was looking for a place to call home and found it in the Phi Chapter of Phi Beta. Phi Beta was supposed to be something she did while in college, but she fell in love with the organization and plans to be around as long as possible. Jessica has assisted with different projects, both on the local and national level, for Phi Beta. Most recently, she has served as the National Director of Ritual and Senior Alumni Advisor for the Phi Chapter. She is now most excited to help move Phi Beta forward as Vice President of Collegiate.

Ann Marie Hardulak
Director of Awards
Ann Marie Hardulak joined Phi Beta in 1970 as an Alpha Psi chapter charter member (Ursuline College, Cleveland, Ohio). In 1972, she organized area alums and, shortly after that, assisted in installing Pi Alpha Sigma. Ann Marie served as Alpha Psi’s senior advisor and Pi Alpha Sigma’s president for a few years. Additionally, she served on the National Council, first as National Director of Extension, then as National VP/Collegiates.
Ann Marie’s most extended term of service was as National Director of Awards, a position she enthusiastically held for twenty years. She is most pleased to be able to assist in this capacity once again.
A former music educator, Ann Marie sang with the renowned Cleveland Orchestra Chorus for forty-six seasons. She and her husband, Tom, take great pride in their three beautiful daughters.

Jamie Auberg
Director of Fraternity Education
Composer, author, and music educator Jamie K. Auberg is a versatile artist involved in many arts aspects. He graduated cum laude from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelor of Music Degree and a Virginia State Teacher’s License. As a composer, Mr. Auberg is a prolific writer, posting new compositions on his website regularly. He has two arrangements published with Tuba Press and Alcove Publications, respectively. His piece, “Battles for the Soul” for two clarinets and guitar, has been recorded with Leonarda Productions on an album entitled “Unforgettable Hues.” He is currently a freelance music arranger for Jellynote.com Publications. As a music educator, Mr. Auberg has taught elementary music at Denbigh Christian Academy and Band at Hampton Christian Academy. He is currently a piano and clarinet instructor at Centerstage Academy. He also owns Auberg Instructional Innovations, teaching group music and computer animation lessons with the Newport News Parks and Rec Instructional Programs. He has written several books for music instruction, including piano, clarinet, guitar, and ukulele methods. He has produced multiple CD albums, which are for sale at cdbaby.com. But music is not the only artistic endeavor Mr. Auberg enjoys; he also writes novels and produces amateur films. He is a freelance composer and video editor with the Virginia Film Company and composed the soundtrack to their movie “Honorable Men.”

Maryanne McGowan
Director of Projects
Maryanne attended the University of Cincinnati, earning her BS and BA; then later completed her MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH.
Maryanne joined Phi Beta Fraternity during her undergraduate years in the Theatre Department. She served as President of her collegiate chapter, Delta.
Currently, she serves as our Director of Projects. Her CPA knowledge is a valuable asset to our Fraternity, as is her affiliation with the Cincinnati chapter of The MacDowell Society. Maryanne lives in Cincinnati, and among her many leadership positions throughout the tri-state area (too many to list), she always has time for her family and two grandchildren.

Amy Schumaker Bliss
Director of Social Media
Dr. Amy Schumaker Bliss is a euphonium artist and music educator in central Ohio. She was active with the Phi chapter as she attended Capital University. She earned her master’s degree in euphonium performance at the Royal Northern College in Manchester, England, where she earned Honors with Distinction in Performance. In 2015, she graduated from Rutgers University as the first doctoral euphonium student.
Amy is active in teaching, performing, and promoting Brass Bands. She lives in Lewis Center, OH, with her husband and two children.

Cora Willett
Director of Special Services
Cora became a member of Phi Beta in 1996 as part of the Phi Chapter at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. After graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Education, she taught elementary music and became a member of the Pi Epsilon Alpha (online) Chapter. She was also asked to assist then (and now) National Treasurer Nancy Schuman with the position. Cora later held that office, as well as National President and National Editor.
Cora resides in Jackson, OH, with her Phi Beta husband, Josh, and their twin teen daughters, Ella and Lea. She operates two locally-owned movie theatres, TriCity Theatre, and the Silver Screen VII.

Dawn Evans
Webmaster
Dawn became a member of Phi Beta in 1989 as part of the Tau chapter at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. After graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor of Music Education, she completed a Master of Music with an emphasis in Bassoon Performance at the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1995. Dawn teaches elementary music near St. Louis, Missouri, where she actively plays the bassoon in her community. She is a founding member of Pi Epsilon Alpha, Phi Beta’s online chapter. Dawn has held several positions on a national level and is happy to be able to serve her fraternity.

Lois Poe Rust
Director of Honors
Lois Poe Rust (Lamb) joined Phi Beta as a student at the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She was in the first Musical Theater class at CCM and obtained a Master’s in Broadcasting there. After graduating, she became a TV producer at Chanel 12 in Cincinnati. Lois has been involved in theater, art, dance, and music since she was fourteen and continues to be involved in the Cincinnati OPERA as a member of the OPERA Guild. Lois has taught Drama and produced events at Cincinnati Country Day School for the past forty-two years. She is very thankful to have lived a creative life.

Michael Haskell
Director of Patrons
Michael Haskell has been a member of Phi Beta since joining its Phi Chapter at Capital University in the Fall of 2019. While at Capital, Michael held multiple chairs, headed various committees, and served as Vice President and President. Michael has also been active in Capital’s theater scene, having been an actor, director, and student administrator throughout his collegiate career. Michael graduated in May 2023 from Capital with a major in Integrated Social Studies Education and a minor in Public History & Historic Preservation. Currently, Michael is working at Thomas Worthington High School.

Nicky Gutierrez
Director of Ritual
Nicky Gutierrez has been a Phi Beta member since the Spring of 2018, when he joined the Phi Chapter at Capital University. He served as sentinel chair and Vice President. Nicky assisted the National Council with various special projects. He served as National Editor and reactivated the National Magazine, the Baton. Nicky serves as Director of Ritual, is chair of the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) committee, and is Junior Alumni Advisor for Phi Chapter. He has a BA in Religious Studies and Creative Writing and minored in Literature and Screenwriting. Nicky earned two MA degrees at Bethany Theological Seminary: an MA with a Concentration in Theological Studies and an MA in Theopoetics and Writing. He is a theopoet, writer of haikus, lover of puns, and pilgrim.
